UK Quality Board - Supply Chain - Counterfeit working group
WHAT IS THE UK Quality Board - SUPPLY CHAIN - COUNTERFEIT Working Group?
It is recognised that counterfeit products and services are a significant risk to the aerospace industry and to the safety of our products and services. Recent world events have further exasperated the situation increasing the risk of counterfeit products and services in the supply chain. While there are a number of counterfeit avoidance initiatives and sources of information available, the UK Quality Group recognise more can be done to support and protect businesses. The UK QUALITY BOARD - SUPPLY CHAIN COUNTERFEIT working group seeks to address these issues.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE working grouP?
- Raise awareness across industry and share and implement best practice (including lessons learned and understanding the continually evolving aspect of the issue)
- Create or at least influence a training course on counterfeits management
- Drive engagement at all levels of organisations and the supply chain
- Drive cross industry collaborative working to drive down the risk of counterfeits in supply chains
- Drive towards more open reporting (potentially anonymously) to capture more occurrences and increase market intelligence on counterfeit
