SCS SC21 Competitiveness Delivery Board
WHAT IS THE SCS Competitiveness Delivery BOARD?
SC21 and Aero Excellence are competitveness improvement programmes designed to accelerate the competitiveness of the aerospace & defence industry and support the devlelopment of the capabilities and resilence required to "futureproof" the Supply Chain.
It acts as the Delivery Board for the Competitveness programmes , and it provides the operational oversight for the SC21 & Aero Excellence programmes within the SCS Framework .
The board acts as the focal point for all delivery aspects for the Supply Chain in the Twenty First century (SC21) programme within the Aerospace and Defence Sector, and Reports to the SCS Programme Board
The board ensures all participants actively perform their commitments under the SCS Competitiveness Code of Conduit and Commitments.
It also ensures ADS facilitates the programme in line with the direction of the Aerospace and Defence Community.
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE Board ?
The Board undertakes activities related to the Governance of the SCS Competitivenss Pillar including SC21 supply chain programme and processes.
It provides the overall guidance, direction & priorities of the SC21 programme within the Aerospace and Defence Sector.Responsible to the ADS Council for steering the SC21 programme and reviewing the annual objectives.
The board ensures that all of the interests of the Competitiveness programmes are represented and will therefore include all levels of the Supply Chain, Government & external stakeholders.
It also allows to promote the drive for a common approach for improved supply chain performance and pace of innovation in the industry.
The board receives progress /status reports from the SCS Competitiveness Project Team . It also examines and advises how the SC21 programmes could be innovative via the deployment of 4 Sub Groups :-
1) Enrolment and Recruitment
2) Assessment
3) Improvement
4) Recognition
The board also determines the roll-out of the SC21 and Aero Excellence programmes across the UK supply chain footprint.
