Military Aviation Safety Group

Special interest group

WHAT IS THE MILITARY AVIATION SAFETY GROUP?

MASG is predominantly concerned with military airworthiness policy and matters and not general defence safety. The MASG and S&RB (viz) have recently proposed the formation of a Defence Systems Safety group (DSSG) to oversee issues related to land, sea and air defence systems safety.

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE GROUP?

The Military Aviation Safety Group is to promote the airworthiness and safety interests of the UK military aircraft sector through existing and new interfaces with government agencies;

  • To support and develop UK military requirements and procedures;
  • To develop standards for the civil operation of military aircraft;
  • To promote the adoption of civil standards by MoD;
  • To harmonise safety standards

This particular group is categorised as a ‘Board or Committee’ ADS Boards and Committees generally operate at the more strategic level  and have more specific criteria for joining and limited vacancies for Members to apply for. If you are interested and request to join a Board or Committee it will require further follow up from the group owner to confirm vacancies and suitability.

HOW DO I JOIN?

To join and for further information, please contact Pamela Vera by emailing: Pamela.Vera@adsgroup.org.uk, who will validate your application.
