This Sub-Committee seeks to try to provide a sounding board to enable companies to make representations to the US Government on its export control systems, processes and policies. It has especially sought to work with the UK Government to try to ensure that sight is not lost by the US Government on the impact that its export control policies, systems and procedures have on non-US parties, due to their extensive use of extraterritoriality, meaning that offshore firms need to comply not only with our own national controls, but also, in certain circumstances, with those of other nations.
