Sustainable practices represent a clear opportunity for many of ADS’ 1,400+ members. With securing clean growth one of our core priorities, ADS is proud to advocate on behalf of the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors who are early adopters of sustainable practices.

Whether it’s the use of space technology to mitigate against the affects of climate change, pushes from the aerospace industry to deliver on net zero or working within government to ensure ESG regulations are applied effectively in our sectors, ADS is highly active throughout the industrial ecosystem to power clean, prosperous growth for our nation.

Establishing a clear baseline for the defence industry’s ESG performance

Over the last 12 months, our first seven signatories of the UK Defence ESG Charter have been reporting on 50+ economic and sustainability metrics to establish a clear industry baseline presented in an inaugural UK Defence ESG Charter Annual Report.

The report will be presented at a launch event and signing ceremony on 20 February 2025. Taking place just over a year after the Charter was launched, it provides a platform for industry leaders, ESG supporting partners and government stakeholders to convene and discuss the opportunities of sustainable action within the defence industry whilst reflecting on the baseline that this inaugural report sets.
