All applied to solve system challenges to enable optimised land, air, and maritime platform performance.
- ADVANCED MATERIALS – Applying our extensive knowledge and experience of composites, additive manufacturing, materials testing & impact analysis to lightweight material selection, design, assessment, and validation.
- SIMULATION & MODELLING – The use of our proven digital design tools, mathematical modelling, and driver/hardware/software in-the-loop capabilities to study component and system performance and validate & prioritise design choices.
- INSTRUMENTATION & DATA ANALYTICS – The use of operationally-validated sensor systems and data collection methods, combined with high-speed data transfer pipelines, providing detailed data analysis to inform timely technical and operational decisions.
- HIGH PERFORMANCE COMPUTING – World leading high performance computing power, combined with our AI and machine learning applications, enabling rapid analysis and decision making, adding commercial and technical value to our customers.
- WIND TUNNEL – Available for testing (including moving ground) of scale model and full-size platforms up to 180 mph (12 to 80 m/s). Available within a segregated facility to provide security and confidentiality for our customer projects. In addition, model-building facilities are available with support provided by a dedicated engineering and analysis team.
- DRIVER IN THE LOOP F1 SIMULATOR – Full scale simulator available to run numerous track models for race simulations and driver development.
- SINGLE AXIS TESTING MACHINES – A 40kN and three 100 kN hydraulic single axis rigs for high-load dynamic testing, quasi-static testing, track replay, fatigue and testing to failure. Also available is a damper dyno rig with a 25kN high response actuator.
- 8 POST RIG – Used for platform dynamic testing (incl. aero mapping and track replay) with 4 x 25kN displacement actuators and 4 x 20kN aero load actuators.
- CHASSIS RIG – Modular design allowing for multiple test configurations used for both static and homologation testing. Rated to 400kN.
- TEST RIGS – Brake Cooling Efficiency rig (BCE) used for loaded tyre and brake testing, with the ability to run track replay and drive files. Gearbox articulation rig to study and optimise lubrication systems.
- BEDPLATE TESTING – Able to conduct fully customisable bespoke multi-axis tests on modular bedplates. Multiple control modes including motion isolated control.
