The University of Strathclyde is a leading international technological university located in Glasgow, with a large number of research teams across many disciplines actively leading advances in the aerospace, marine, space and security sectors. Research is conducted through collaborative projects and through strategic research programmes with major industrial partners such as Lloyds Register, Rolls-Royce, BAeSystems, Spirit Aerosystems, Clyde Space, amongst many other tier 1 and supply chain organisations. The teams’ impact is further assisted by access to worldclass research and demonstration infrastructures, including the Advanced Forming Research Centre (AFRC), Power Networks Demonstration Centre (PNDC), and an extensive range of laboratories associated with satellite and space systems, sustainable transport including more-electric and hybrid propulsion, resilience, remote sensing, robotics and autonomy, and ocean engineering. This research portfolio is complemented by relevant teaching programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate, and post-experience levels, that contribute to the skills agenda of the ADS sectors. As well as a number of Catapults including HVM, Soxsa and OREC, the University has recently been announced as the anchor University for the new National Manufacturing Institute of Scotland
