Lumi Space is building the most precise space surveillance service on the planet. Using satellite laser ranging, the data is 1000x more accurate than radar or optical measurement. This is critical to ensuring orbital safety and increasing orbit-carrying capacity: decreasing collision warning false-positive rates from 99.9% while decreasing the volume of warnings by 100x. This changes the current, disparate risk appetite to noisy information overload, into a set of actionable operational insights. The big vision is to move and remove objects in space from the ground using lasers: Laser Momentum Transfer, which has been hailed by ESA and NASA as the solution to the space debris problem.

The company was established in 2018 and has a track record of delivering projects on-time and on-budget with key stakeholders from satellite operators all the way to space agencies including ESA.
