Ford Aerospace Limited provides a first-class, manufacturing and engineering service to a broad range of customers, specialising in the machining and pressing of components and assemblies for the aerospace, automotive and related high-technology industries. In addition, we provide a range of adjustable and peelable laminated shim products which often provide a more cost effective and superior solution to using shim sets or ground shims. Our portfolio includes surface and edge-bonded parts, in metallic and non-metallic materials, with a fully customisable service in thickness and number of laminations including hybrid of plate and laminations.

With our origins founded in 1910, we entered the Aerospace industry in 1982 producing high precision shims for various OEMS. Since then, the business has continued to invest and develop its high precision machining capability resulting in a strong reputation in the industry for producing the highest quality components and mechanical assemblies. For more than 40 years we have provided solutions to the world’s leading aerospace OEM’s by supplying precision components for both high volume production and legacy / spares requirements. We offer both make to print and industry standard ranges in quantities to suit customer’s requirements.

Last year, Ford Aerospace was honoured to become a member of the SPIROL group, the global manufacturer of engineered fasteners, disc springs, shims, fastener installation machines and parts feeding equipment producing over 2 billion components a year.
