Blue Bear is a UK based SME with a diverse technical portfolio underpinned by extensive experience of successful engagement with Government organisations, Defence contractors, SMEs and Academia. We are pioneers in unmanned systems and autonomy with more than 20 years’ experience and a proud reputation for generating ‘world firsts’ such as autonomous flight and deconfliction of the UK’s largest UAV swarm in 2018.

Blue Bear is a recognised leader in Open Architectures and certifiable Autonomy.  Our vehicles include unmanned and flight-tested fixed-wing, rotary and lighter-than-air vehicles and our dedicated team offer a wide range of skills encompassing avionics, aerodynamics, software development, CAD modelling, flight operations (civil and military), flight control, flight clearance/acceptance, complex systems design, programme management, systems integration, product certification and qualification. 

Technology and services offerings include managed service provision, systems integration, design and development of air platforms and associated systems (ranging from a few grams to 50 tonnes), bespoke air vehicles, COTS air vehicles including all associated systems including autopilots, avionics, and sensors. 

Blue Bear also offers services such as LVC modelling and simulation, sensors and communications systems assessment, unmanned traffic management systems, regularity advice and support, as well as unmanned systems in other domains.
