Technical Metals Limited has received a second consecutive gold award in the 21st Century Supply Chains (SC21) Operational Excellence programme.
The SC21 programme is a voluntary programme designed to accelerate the performance and competitiveness of the aerospace and defence sector supply chains and is coordinated by ADS, the UK trade association for the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. Becoming a participant in the programme is free of charge and is endorsed by the Aerospace Growth Partnership, Department for Business Energy and Industrial Strategy and the Ministry of the Defence, as well as leading aerospace and defence companies. The programme is supported in Northern Ireland by Invest NI.
Technical Metals Limited was established in 1984 and supply to the global aerospace market providing a range of finishes to various customer requirements along with a service of positive material identification. Capabilities include, anodising, bead-blasting, passivation, CNC machining, alu-printing, and positive material identification. Technical Metals Limited has been part of the SC21 programme since 2016 and received its first Gold Award in 2020, and now its second consecutive award.
To achieve its second consecutive SC21 Gold award, Technical Metals Limited improved its on time delivery to more than or equal to 99.00 per cent, and quality to more than or equal to 99.90 per cent. Through participation in the SC21 programme, Technical Metals Limited has seen several benefits including strengthened customer and supplier relationships as well as increased workforce efficiency. Following its SC21 success, Technical Metals Limited plans to seek market and product expansion and become recognised as a world-class finishing centre while maintaining its SC21 performance and efficiency levels.
