ADS expressed disappointment at a second ruling from the US Department of Commerce against Bombardier, which imposed a further 80 per cent tariff on US imports of the company's C-Series.
ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:
“This second ruling from the US Department of Commerce is disappointing and will further fuel concern in Northern Ireland’s aerospace industry over this dispute. However, it is a preliminary ruling and there is still time to find an amicable resolution.
“It is now even more important that Governments in the UK, US and Canada work hard to find an appropriate solution as quickly as possible. The continuation of this dispute is unsettling for the workers who make revolutionary composite wings for the C-Series in Belfast, and for hundreds of Bombardier’s suppliers in the UK and Ireland.”
A final ruling in the case is not expected until early 2018.
