New emissions target in 6th Carbon Budget
The Prime Minister announced on Tuesday that the Government would set in law a target of reducing carbon emissions by 78 per cent by 2035.
The target in the UK’s 6th Carbon Budget will, for the first time, include international aviation and shipping emissions.
