Today the Department for Transport has published new aviation guidance, setting out measures operators should put in place to protect staff and passengers.
ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:
“Today’s guidance from the Government is a welcome and important step towards a return to normal flight schedules. With this advice in place for airlines, airports and passengers, the aviation sector will be better able to show how it can now achieve the resumption flying that is essential for a strong economic recovery in the UK, and keep people safe in the air and while they travel.
“Aircraft are fitted with advanced systems that continually filter and renew air in the cabin to create a safe environment for passengers. These systems help to minimise the risk of viruses spreading.”
