Confirmed speakers include Jerome Starkey (Defence Editor, The Sun), Philip Ingram (regular Sky News security commentator), and Rachael Clamp (Chartered Institute of Public Relations President and CEP of Ardesey).
This non-commercial event will donate all proceeds to SSAFA and Heropreneurs, benefiting military charities that support those who have served in the armed forces.
Canny has designed this event to provide practical strategies, foster professional growth, and build stronger networks within the defence communications community.
Lindsay Compton, CEO of Canny said: "Reputation Masterclass 2025 is a culmination of our years of experience in the sector. We wanted to create a supportive event for marketing and comms pros to come together, share knowledge, and tackle the sector’s big reputational challenges head-on. It's about supporting the growth of individuals while using the proceeds to give back to those who have served in the armed forces. We're excited to see the impact this event will have and the conversations it will spark. If it goes well, we’ll aim to run it annually."

Canny Comms (Canny) is a communications and marketing consultancy that specialises in defence and security.
We are passionate about using our skills to support the military and its stakeholders. We do this by helping technical and complex organisations to successfully engage with their audiences to realise their goals.
Uniquely, we have experts in science and technology in our team, which combines expertise in communications and marketing, science and technology, and defence and security. Our approach allows us to rapidly understand both complex technologies and operational requirements to shape and align messaging to audiences.
The Canny team is strongly purpose driven. We are compelled to use our skills to ensure the people who protect and serve our country are well equipped.
We are, therefore, keen supporters of the military community. We actively look to employ and use suppliers who are veterans, reservists and/or military spouses. We provide pro-bono support to the military charity Heropreneurs, aiding in its work to help veterans and military spouses become entrepreneurs. In recognition of this, we have been awarded the silver-level award in the Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme. Organising the Reputation Masterclass is an extension of this support.
