Best November Puts Aircraft Production in Sight of Annual Record
- Record November deliveries take 2017 figures to 1285 aircraft, 23 above the record rate.
- Aircraft deliveries in the first 11 months of 2017 worth up to £25bn to UK industry.
- Orders also rise, driven by November’s record Dubai Airshow, with 13,379 aircraft now on order books, worth £205bn to UK industry.
November reached new heights for aircraft deliveries, as both the highest month of this year so far, and the best November on record.
The month saw 146 aircraft delivered, pushing the running total for 2017 to 1285, now 23 ahead of the production pace set in 2016. November’s deliveries represent up to £2.8bn in value to UK industry, taking the overall total for the year to £25bn.
With Airbus, Boeing and Bombardier announcing major orders at November’s Dubai Airshow, order books are also above 2016 levels, as the ongoing trend of rising demand around the world continues.
