Aerospace Sector Will Need More Support As Travel Restrictions Tighten
Following the announcement that all UK travel corridors will be suspended, ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:
“The severe restrictions on travel now in place pose a serious threat to businesses in the UK’s aviation and aerospace sectors, which are already among the worst affected by the crisis.
“Aerospace manufacturing employs more than 100,000 people in the UK and these businesses will now need additional support to survive the crisis until restrictions are lifted and demand begins to recover.
“Without a specific package of measures for the sector, thousands more jobs and the long-term health of our industry will be put at risk.”
