ADS is pleased to announce the appointment of Darren Miller as its new Head of Policing and Law Enforcement Engagement.
Darren joins ADS after 30 years’ service in Hampshire Constabulary. He previously held roles as an experienced Tactical Firearms Commander and Public Order and Public Safety Commander, planning and delivering various operations including music events, sporting events, protests and other policing operations.
He also previously worked on a range of national policing issues including firearms licensing and ICT programmes, as well as chairing the Tactical Coordination Group for Hampshire Local Resilience Forum‘s multi-agency response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jon Gray, Director – Security and Resilience, ADS, said: “I am delighted to welcome Darren to our ADS team. He brings with him vast experience, knowledge and credibility across policing at a crucial point in the evolution of policing at home and around the world.
“His expertise will be a significant resource and support to our members, across our special interest groups and in industry working in partnership with policing and Government colleagues.”
Darren Miller, Head of Policing and Law Enforcement Engagement, said: “I am excited to be joining ADS and to support ADS members at a time when UK law enforcement is going through major change.
“There are many challenges facing policing but also many opportunities for our members to support and work in partnership with the law enforcement community. We all know the best outcomes are delivered when we all work together and I can’t wait to help be a part of that.
"I look forward to meeting and working with our members to build engagement with a range of networks and activities across the policing, law enforcement and Government, starting at next week’s Security & Policing event between 15-17 March in Farnborough.”
