ADS Welcomes New Wage Support Package
Responding to today’s statement by Chancellor Rishi Sunak announcing a new wage support package to replace the Job Retention Scheme in November, ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said:
“This new package from the Chancellor will provide much needed support for employees across our industries who are facing serious challenges.
“The impact of the sharp and sustained fall in demand for aviation threatens the future of many businesses. The Job Support Scheme announced today will help minimise the damage and help companies retain valuable skills and experience.
“The expected slow recovery in the worst affected sectors means more support will be required. The Government must work to provide strategic funding for supply chain companies, achieve our Net Zero ambitions by investing in development of green aerospace technology, and drive prosperity through defence and security procurement.”
