University of Nottingham hosting free GNSS training event

A free GNSS Systems and Technology Training event will take place at the University of Nottingham on the 24 and 25 January 2019.

This two day training event is being hosted by the Nottingham Geospatial Institute/GRACE (Geospatial Research Applications Centre of Excellence) in partnership with Rockwell Collins UK.

The event is open to professionals from UK Industry and SMEs are particularly welcome.

The two day training course in GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite System) from fundamentals to advanced topics.

Day one will cover: Satellites and signals, ground control segments, user segments and applications and an update on current GNSS systems.

Day two will cover the following topics and more: GNSS error sources and vulnerability, tracking errors, multipath, differential positioning, spatial and temporal correlation of error and augmentation systems

Full training programme will be released to participants approximately tow to three weeks before the training event.

The event is ideal for newcomers to the technology or people who would like to refresh/update their knowledge. Particularly suitable for professionals operating in the positioning and navigation sector, systems engineers, electronic engineers, software design engineers, surveyors and aerospace engineers.

Please note that there will be a maximum of two places available per company.
