Posted on 17 June, 2016 by Advance

Courtesy of ADS, UKspace will be hosting a free ITAR/EAR Export Controls briefing featuring presentations by US Government representatives at this year's Farnborough International Airshow (FIA). Representatives will give the briefings from the US Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and the US Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS).

The US Government team is expected to comprise:
•    Catherine Hamilton, Chief, Space/Missiles Division, Office of Licensing, DDTC, US DoS
•    Dennis Krepp, Director, Sensors and Aerospace Division, BIS, US DoC.

This briefing will be held off-site from the Farnborough Airshow - 9:30am to 12:30pm on 14th July 2016 - at the QinetiQ facility in Farnborough, so there is no requirement for attendees to register for or attend the Airshow.

Bookings must be received by Thursday 29th June 2016. REGISTRATION FORM UKspace and ADS ITAR EXPORT CONTROL BRIEFING.pdf (138 KB)

Attendance at these briefings will be free, however, mandatory registration must be completed for both the briefings and counselling sessions.

All attendees are asked to ensure they are able to attend the event, as any late cancellations or non-attendance would be a mark of discourtesy to our US government briefers. Please let us know by 8th July if you are not able to attend, places will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.

Courtesy buses will be available to transport attendees from and to Farnborough Main Station (as well as to the Farnborough Airshow after the briefing). Delegates are actively encouraged to try to make use of this transport option (or taxis) due to the shortage of public car parking places at QinetiQ’s facility. If delegates do want to make use of this option, please specify on the application form.

One to One Counselling sessions are also available. Anyone interested should contact Kelly.Gardner@bis.doc.gov.
