Thales this week launched its multiple simulation training system, NUADA, at I/ITSEC 2018, Orlando, Florida, 26-30 November.

NUADA is a new digital platform developed by Thales Training and Simulation that simplifies the planning, preparation and delivery of training in networked training simulation environments.

The platform enables training teams to work seamlessly together in a collaborative environment, no matter where they are located. They can schedule, create and track an event programme more effectively, using fewer resources to reduce training costs.

The demand for synthetic training, the use of simulators to train equipment operators, is rising as it provides increasingly realistic, effective training at a lower cost than traditional methods.

Networking is the next generation of training and simulation, offering collective environments in which dispersed military units can train and prepare for missions together.

However, delivering coherent training to all trainee participants requires a networked synthetic training system comprising of any number of simulators, a network to link them up and a whole set of infrastructure tools and services including exercise control tools, computer generated forces and role-player applications.

Until now, no single platform allowed planners and executors to coordinate efforts effectively.

NUADA offers key functionality for geographically distributed teams to coordinate networked training over distance:

Managing requirements and resources to create a programme of training events

Automating the deployment of multiple simulation environments and enables multiple events to be launched simultaneously

Integrating third party products, acting as the glue to bring a large number of tools together

Enabling events to be repeated and assets to be saved, stored and reused.

Training providers have the opportunity to see the first public demonstration of NUADA at I/ITSEC.
