TEC gain AESQ Training Provider status

TEC Transnational have secured AESQ (Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality) Training Provider status.

The AESQ (Aerospace Engine Supplier Quality) is the SAE-G-22 technical committee who collaboratively publish, deploy and maintain common quality supplier requirements which facilitate lean capable processes and continual improvement in the global aero engine supply chain. They are responsible for the AS1300X series of standards which address essential aerospace ‘quality tools’ which must be integrated into Quality Management Systems to support existing IAQG standards.

TEC's programme of approved courses and exams are aimed at individuals who wish to become ‘Practitioners’ (i.e. subject experts) in one or more of these AESQ
standards. Empowerment is provided through a structured programme of practical training courses which incorporate 'hands-on' workshops and evaluation exercises.

The current programme includes –
 AS13000 – Problem Solving Requirements for Suppliers (8-D)
 AS13003 – Measurement Systems Analysis Requirements for the Aero
Engine Supply Chain (Gauge R&R Studies)
 AS13004 – Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) and
Control Plans
 AS13006 – Process Control Methods

Successful completion of the courses builds the knowledge and skills required of an Aerospace/Defence Practitioner who can lead the deployment of these AESQ/IAQG standards. A practitioner is capable of not only undertaking the tasks involved but can also provide the leadership and ability to train others in their organisation.

Graham Crighton, Meggitt Group Quantity Director said: “TEC’s training courses and flexible approach worked well for our staff in sites as far apart as Asia, Europe,
Americas, India and the Middle East"

Tony Stacey, Quality Director at Eaton Aerospace said: “Aerospace standards can be a dry old topic but in TEC’s training sessions, brings the subject to life and puts
the information across in a really practical and accessible way. Whenever I run courses at Eaton I get TEC to do it. Led by Dr David Scrimshire, for me, they’re the go-to organisation for a aerospace training and coaching."

Andrea Pollock, senior quality engineer at Thyssenkrupp in Northern Ireland said: “TEC has been delivering Thyssenkrupp’s quality training since late 2016 – these
courses are making a real impact on the business, changing the way people work dismantling old mindsets and enabling staff to deliver a step change in improvement of productivity. They have changed the way staff operate on a day-to-day basis.”
