STG Aerospace appoints Martin Gaffney as Commercial Director

Cwmbran-headquartered Aircraft emergency exit marking and cabin lighting systems manufacturer STG Aerospace, has today announced the appointment of Martin Gaffney to head up its commercial division and lead the company’s expansion over the next five years.

STG has its state-of-the-art facility at its headquarters in South Wales and is complemented by international facilities in Miami and Hamburg, along with hubs throughout the world.

A long-standing, trusted player in aerospace emergency way-guidance established in 1995, STG Aerospace also designs and manufactures aerospace photoluminescent signage and interior LED cabin lighting systems to support passenger safety and improve the passenger experience. It has since become the lighting solutions provider of choice for hundreds of airlines and is also a supplier to aircraft OEMs, including Boeing and Embraer.

The company provides full through life capability, with in-house expertise to support the whole process, from initial design to manufacturing and post-sale customer service and is key in influencing policy within the sector.

Martin’s appointment is part of an expansion programme that will provide all-round service to airlines, OEMs and aerospace interior designers on a global level, and bring skilled job opportunities to the local economy.

Upon his appointment, Martin said: “The objective is to drive double digit growth for the business in the next five years, expanding into new markets and broadening the range of products and systems we offer.
