The partnership will enable subscribers of Laminar Data to be able to query up-to-date global flight positions and flight plans through developer-friendly APIs.

Andy Milligan, Principal Consultant (Aviation) at Snowflake, stated “FlightAware has been great to work with and I’m excited about adding this invaluable data source to the Laminar Data platform. By combining and harmonising data from FlightAware with other operational data we’ve been able to build a complete operational picture of a flight, providing our users with data rich contextual services through developer-friendly APIs.”

FlightAware’s Business Development Manager, Max Tribolet, said “Snowflake has a proven track record in SWIM solutions development and exploiting web services in the aviation domain. FlightAware data is the perfect addition to the Laminar Data offering. We’re the largest flight tracking company in the world, pulling data from thousands of our own receivers as well as over sixty government data feeds. Having our data available via Laminar Data provides a great opportunity to our existing and new customers who want to visualise our data alongside other industry relevant data feeds.”
