Sharing in Growth offers Brexit readiness guidance
Productivity and competitiveness experts Sharing in Growth today launched a series of webinars and resources to support aerospace and advanced manufacturing companies to finalise their Brexit planning. Part of the government’s Get ready for Brexit campaign, the webinars will offer guidance to companies on areas they need to prioritise in readiness for Brexit.
Designed and delivered by global professional services firm Deloitte, they will be supported by a Brexit checklist specifically aimed at the UK aerospace supply chain which will help companies to identify risks.
There will be three webinars providing guidance on practical steps of how to prepare for Brexit in a sector which has relied on frictionless trade with the rest of Europe. While recognising that each company is different, the webinars will cover key themes such as the impact of Brexit on existing staff, EU citizens, and staffing costs; the transitional measures for the movement of goods, who can act as importer or exporter of record, impacts on tariff, VAT and Incoterms in supplier and customer contracts and the impact on data flows to/from the EU, preventing breach of data protections laws, and potential changes to intellectual property protection and also export and certification requirements.
There will also be an opportunity to raise questions during the webinars and the checklist and FAQs will be made available alongside a recording of the guidance presentations.
