Resource Group announces plans for new apprentice scheme during National Apprenticeship Week
The AirTanker apprenticeship scheme will commence in September 2016 and four to six apprentices will start a two year programme to gain a City and Guilds NVQ Level 3 Diploma Extended NVQ in Aeronautical Engineering and an EASA Part-66, Category A Licence.
The engineers will begin training by spending eight months at Resource Group’s Aviation Technical Training division at Cotswold Airport in Gloucestershire, followed by periods of practical on-the-job training at AirTanker Services facilities, RAF Brize Norton.
Resource Group has delivered 300 new starters to industry over the past seven years and as such, the training model has become highly regarded in industry, used by clients such as Thomson Airways, EasyJet, Cobham, CHC and Bond to name a few.
Recently, Aaron Duckworth, a Thomson Airways newly qualified apprentice won a place on Squad UK after competing at the Worldskills UK competition and will go to Abu Dhabi for the world finals in 2017.

Recruitment for the AirTanker apprenticeship is expected to start in late March / early April with candidates expected to hold 5 GCSE’s at grade C or above including Maths, Physics and English.
