RAeS to host career fair to support aviation and aerospace sectors
The Royal Aeronautical Society (RAeS) is launching its first virtual recruitment fair Careers in Aerospace and Aviation LIVE on 4th November 2020.

The event will bring together representatives from a range of sectors including; aerospace, space, aviation, MRO and air transport operations to showcase opportunities for current and aspiring aerospace and aviation professionals.
The online event marks the 15th year of the RAeS careers fair, and will offer:
• Interactive engagement with exhibitors, including 1-2-1 meetings
• Online meetings and networking with other attendees
• Insight talks on a range of subjects
• Webinars and career advice, which will also be available after the event
Virtual visitors will range from young people and graduates seeking apprenticeships and graduate employment, to experienced professionals from engineering and operations as well as service leavers looking to make their next career move. The event will feature a virtual exhibitor floor for visitors to interact with exhibitors, and careers insight talks for all levels of experience. Careers in Aerospace and Aviation LIVE is free to attend.
The RAeS is also proud to announce that Boeing will be the Club Class partner for this year’s Careers in Aerospace and Aviation LIVE, enabling the valuable event to take place using an online platform and to reach global audiences and underrepresented groups.

Sally Hoyle, Human Resource Director, Boeing Europe and Israel said “As we’re all sadly aware, aviation employment has been significantly impacted by COVID-19 and the resulting downturn in passenger traffic demand. We predict that it will likely take about three years for air travel to return to 2019 levels and unfortunately it will be a few years beyond that for the industry to return to long-term growth trends. Having said that, we forecast more than 2 million cabin crew, pilots and technicians will be needed globally over the next 20 years and so it’s vital for operators to build their talent pipeline now.
