PSG celebrates 50 years in business
Supplier of coatings, chemicals, adhesives and composite materials to the aerospace and defence sectors, PSG, has now been in business for half a century and will be celebrating this milestone during 2020.
Established in 1970, the company was started by the Wood brothers from a single office in Godalming, Surrey, distributing industrial coatings in the south of England.
In 1973 PSG moved to Haslemere and having gained Ministry of Defence (MoD) approval, began to focus on the aerospace and defence coatings markets.
The 1980s and 1990s saw PSG successfully expand into Europe’s largest distributor of specialist coatings, offering a high level of service and technical support, supported by the world’s leading coatings manufacturers. In 2016 the company moved from its home in Haslemere to a purpose-built facility in Bordon, Hampshire, where it consolidated its offices, warehousing and production.
In 2019 PSG was acquired by ADDEV Materials an international company employing over 700 staff in 25 locations across the globe with its headquarters based in Lyon, France.
ADDEV Materials Aerospace & Defence Group specialises in the custom packaging and distribution of chemicals, adhesives, tapes and technical films to the aerospace industry.
Today PSG partners with manufacturers such as PPG Aerospace, Sherwin-Williams, Mapaero, Henkel, ZipChem, 3M Aerospace, Gurit, Aeroform, Mader, to mention but a few. PSG’s broad product portfolio includes a comprehensive range of coatings, composite products, chemicals and associated materials with global reach.
