The Gloucester and Cardiff based surface engineering specialists have put the focus on customers’ requirements when designing the new website resulting in the development of two interactive tools.

The ‘Coating Selector’ has been created to help customers who are envisaging or experiencing problems with their manufactured parts, including wear and corrosion, or where specific properties such as non-stick or electrical conductivity are required. Users are able choose the base material they are working with, then select the desired properties and discover which of Poeton’s advanced Apticote treatments would best match their requirements.

The second new tool allows users to search through Poeton’s extensive approvals database. Poeton maintain approvals from both individual customers, such as Airbus, Safran & GE Aviation, as well as accreditations from industry bodies including Nadcap and the AS9100 quality accreditation. This new feature makes it easier than ever before for customers to quickly check what specifications the treatment company are able to work to.

Marketing Co-Ordinator Craig Silsby, who led the redevelopment project, commented: “Poeton has for decades been at the forefront in pioneering the latest surface engineering solutions and this new website now truly reflects the Poeton brand. We have worked on ensuring that the site is easy to navigate and customers can quickly find what they are looking for, whether that be the coating they know they require, or to check if we hold a specific approval.”

Furthermore, plans are already underway to continue to expand the content on offer. A knowledge hub will be launched later this year where Poeton’s vast expertise will be shared with it’s customer base. This section will focus on educating users and include design guides, whitepapers and tutorials, covering the basics principles of surface treatment up to in-depth articles that will benefit even the most experienced of engineers.

Finally, to support Poeton’s growing European facility, the Poeton Polska website will also be upgraded to incorporate the new content, features and design, as well as being translated to cater for the local audience.
