Osprey has been chosen to support acceptance and commissioning activities associated with the Ministry of Defence’s (MoD) Project MARSHALL.

Project MARSHALL is a £1.5 billion long term sustainment and support contract to upgrade Air Traffic Management (ATM) equipment throughout Defence.

Aquila Air Traffic Management Services – a joint venture between NATS and Thales – was awarded the contract to provide military terminal ATM capability at home and overseas under a 22-year project that comprises two elements: a managed service contract and an asset delivery programme.

The programme aims to transform the military ATM capabilities at all MoD operated sites, investing in equipment and infrastructure and representing a merger of 80 contracts into one service contract.

The first six years of the programme will see legacy equipment replaced with new capabilities and the MoD require Osprey to conduct acceptance activities across all Service Deliver Sites.

Jon Arden, Managing Director at Osprey said: "Acceptance confirms that users’ needs have been met by the solution Aquila supplied. We couldn’t be prouder to have been chosen to support this crucial programme which will improve the capabilities of the MOD over the next six years and beyond. The strong military background within our team will prove invaluable in the delivery of this contract, and we’re excited to see what the future holds for Project MARSHALL.”
