Osprey CSL appointed as aircraft advisors to BAS
Osprey CSL is delighted to announce that it has been chosen by the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), an institute of the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC) to provide technical advisory services to support the definition and delivery of a suitable Air Capability solution to support expeditions in the Polar Regions.

BAS is currently carrying out a major programme of Antarctic infrastructure and logistics modernisation. This programme includes the introduction into service of the new polar ship, the RRS Sir David Attenborough, re-development of the science research station at Rothera, Antarctica, facility upgrades at Sub-Antarctica research stations and the commissioning of a new air capability to support science into the future. Collectively the programme is referred to as the Antarctic Infrastructure Modernisation Programme (AIMP).
Osprey will provide a range of services from the definition of user requirements and specifications, to airworthiness, aircraft operating procedures, safety cases, regulatory support and the production of industry standard manuals. In addition, the Osprey team will provide specialist technical input to various BAS Working Groups and other project related forums.
