The formation of this partnership enables them to provide unparalleled solutions to government departments, security forces and private sector organisations, in the UK and overseas, allowing clients to easily access specialist services in counter‐terrorism and counter-threat. .

Explosive Risk Management and Optima Group specialise in developing capabilities, with core skills in counter-terrorism and security related fields. Both companies have identified a need to provide clients with solutions to counter the developing threat from both domestic, and transnational terrorism. This partnership allows the two firms to jointly deliver services, utilising their complementary skills and experience.

As well as the immediate advantages of working together, there are longer-term benefits. Providing services to allow clients to meet and mitigate the current and evolving threat from terrorism requires a deep understanding and specialist knowledge of terrorist networks and methods of attack. With their combined understanding of current threats - due to previous and current contracted delivery of services in fragile and conflict-affected states - and as industry leaders in counter-threat solutions, by working closer together Optima and ERM hope to define the standard for service delivery in counter terrorism related disciplines.

Optima Group founder and CEO, Keith Hammond said: “This strategic partnership will benefit both companies and offer our clients a unique combination of services. The professionalism that Optima Group and Explosive Risk Management demonstrate will define quality and service levels across the C-IED industry.”

Explosive Risk Management Managing Director, Simon de Gruchy QGM said: “A strategic partnership between Explosive Risk Management and Optima Group is a positive step forward. Complementary skills across both companies can now be accessed together, enhancing specialist service provision and supporting clients in countering hybrid threats related to improvised explosive devices.”
