Connector systems specialists, ODU, will be presenting several new products at the Broadcast & Video Expo (BVE) at the Excel Centre London 26th-28th February.

In the UK, ODU is probably best known for their support of the British Army's Bowman C41 tactical digital communications programme where, since 2002, they have supplied over 100,000 helmet connectors without a single reported in-service failure.

This, together with work on several global Future Soldier modernisation programs, led to the introduction of the ODU-AMC the Advanced Military Connector, a new generation of miniature circular connectors, meeting the need for ever-higher data-transfer rates in extremely rugged connectors of minimal size, now in extensive world-wide use.

The tough demands of military communications are exactly matched by the  requirements of broadcast equipment - both depend on a connector system to be totally secure and reliable. ODU knowhow has created the best combination of ruggedness and signal integrity in the smallest possible size and these connectors are able to transmit high-speed data protocols with rates of up to 14.4 Gbit/s.
