The Barcelona based airline will operate twice-daily flights to the Catalan capital, with more than 125,000 seats available during the summer season. Vueling will also operate flights from London Luton to Amsterdam, with up to two daily flights and to Zurich, with up to 6 weekly flights.

Part of the International Airlines Group (IAG), Vueling now operates from a total of 11 airports in the UK and Ireland, including Manchester, Newcastle, Leeds, Birmingham, Liverpool, Cardiff, Edinburgh, and Dublin, as well as London’s Gatwick, Heathrow, and Luton. From these airports, the airline will offer a total of 32 routes and more than 2,000,000 seats during the summer, a 132% increase from the summer season of 2015. Since launching its UK operations with a Heathrow-La Coruña flight in 2009, Vueling has carried more than 3 million passengers in the UK.

Last September Vueling and its IAG partner British Airways announced the final provision of their 2014 code-sharing agreement, to launch the direct sales of BA flights on the Vueling’s website (www.vueling.com) and call centre. Customers of both airlines may now able to book their flights from either one, including combined flights using both carriers on direct routes between London and major European cities. The arrangement makes Vueling the first of Europe’s low-cost airlines to sell flights by other carriers, which will strengthen its commercial structure while tightening links with BA.
