Loganair signs interline agreement with United Airlines
Scotland and the United States are to become better connected via a new agreement between Scottish airline Loganair and the US carrier, United Airlines. The ‘interline agreement’, enables Loganair customers to travel via Glasgow and Edinburgh - and also Manchester and Dublin - onwards to the United States with through-check in and protection in case of delay.
From Scotland, United Airlines operates direct flights to its hubs at New York/Newark, Chicago O’Hare and Washington/Dulles, providing extensive onward connections across the US, Canada, the Caribbean and Latin America. Last year the airline carried 158 million passengers while operating a fleet of around 770 aircraft, making it one of the world’s largest airlines..

Bob Schumacher, United’s Managing Director Sales UK and Ireland said: “This agreement will allow Loganair customers to transfer seamlessly with United flights from Glasgow and Edinburgh to our New York/Newark hub, and from Edinburgh to our hubs at Chicago O’Hare and Washington/Dulles, where they can connect to destinations across the Americas.”
The news follows a recent announcement of another agreement reached with Norwegian airline Wideroe to enhance connectivity between the UK and Norway and forms part of Loganair’s ongoing strategy to enhance its worldwide connectivity.
Loganair already has agreements with British Airways, KLM, Qatar, Emirates, Turkish Airlines and Air France, connecting its destinations to every continent across the globe.
