Leafield upgrades its ruggedised cases
Leafield Cases revealed today that is has upgraded its ruggidised Aegis custom cases, which are designed, developed and manufactured in the UK.
Incorporating a range of new features, the cases are rotationally moulded in a resilient UV stabilised SMP polymer, so that these heavy-duty, waterproof cases are extremely durable and can operate in extreme environments.
Each case allows for secure stacking or cross-stacking and accommodate multiple sizes of case, with the stacking feature enhancing the structural rigidity of the case while preventing water collection.
Aegis cases have double skin lids to enhance structural integrity and to incorporate moulded-in attachment features, while case rims are also double walled for extra strength and to accommodate the custom designed waterproof seal. Custom black passivated, stainless steel latches and strike plates are attached to ensure there is no puncturing of the case envelope and no potential leak paths are created.
The cases perform to the requirements of MIL STD 810, Def Stan 81-41 Level J, STANAG 4280 and Def Stan 81-144.
