Jet2 lands at Birmingham Airport
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have launched flights from Birmingham Airport, with the airport becoming their eighth UK base.
Jet2 will operate a total of 57 weekly flights to 15 destinations – Alicante, Crete (Heraklion), Faro, Fuerteventura, Girona (Costa Brava), Gran Canaria, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Majorca, Malaga, Menorca, Paphos, Reus, Rhodes and Tenerife – with daily services to Alicante, Faro and Majorca. Up to 590,000 seats will be available for summer 2017, with flights operated on four of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ brand new Boeing 737-800 next generation aircraft. The first flights from Birmingham Airport will take off on Thursday 30th March 2017 to Faro and Malaga
Jet2.com and Jet2holidays’ arrival in Birmingham means significant investment for the region. More than 200 new jobs will be created with roles available including flight and cabin crew, engineers and ground operations staff.
