Jet2.com and Jet2holidays are continuing to expand their operations and build on their recent launch from Birmingham Airport, with the launch of their first ever full winter flights and holidays programme for 2017/18.

This includes seven brand new routes across winter sun (Madeira), city break (Krakow and Prague) and ski destinations (Grenoble, Geneva, Salzburg, Turin).

The leisure airline and package holiday company is building on the successful launch of its Summer 2017 programme, by announcing that over 325,000 seats are now on sale from Birmingham Airport to a choice of 16 winter destinations across the Mediterranean and Europe.

The programme means Jet2holidays is offering its first ever winter range from Birmingham Airport, and with everything wrapped up in one package, holidaymakers have access to great value package breaks across thousands of 2-5 star hotels, with Jet2.com flights, industry leading 22kg baggage allowance and airport transfers included. Offering full ATOL protection, Jet2holidays also includes free infant places on all holidays as well as 0% credit card fees.

Next winter will see Jet2.com and Jet2holidays operate their first ever winter sun programme from Birmingham Airport, with over 255,000 seats to winter sun destinations. This includes a huge number of seats to the Canary Islands, with up to 13 weekly flights and over 115,000 seats in total. The programme also consists of frequent flights to popular winter sun destinations such as Alicante (five weekly flights), Malaga (three weekly flights) and Faro (three weekly flights). The addition of weekly flights to Madeira is a brand new route from Birmingham Airport.

The programme is not just limited to winter sun destinations as 40,000 ski seats will be available on the company’s Winter 17/18 programme from Birmingham Airport, including new routes to Grenoble, Geneva, Salzburg and Turin. The popularity of Jet2CityBreaks means that there are over 30,000 seats to city break destinations next winter, including brand new Krakow and Prague.

Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “This is a very exciting time for Jet2.com and Jet2holidays and today’s announcement is yet another step on our ambitious growth plans from Birmingham Airport. The launch of flights and holidays for Summer 2017 from Birmingham Airport has been an enormous success, and we expect our first ever Winter programme to be just as popular. This programme gives local people more opportunity than ever to visit their favourite sun and city destinations all-year-round, as well as more choice for hitting the best slopes in Europe. With seven brand new routes and a fantastic range of flights and holiday options available, we’re delighted to offer customers the chance to enjoy the best that Europe has to offer on our award winning airline.”

William Pearson, Aviation Director, Birmingham Airport, said: “As more and more people escape the winter and head for the sun, slopes or city break, we are delighted that our newest carrier, Jet2.com, has launched its winter 17/18 programme adding Madeira, Grenoble, Geneva, Salzburg, Turin, Krakow and Prague from Birmingham. These services are in addition to 15 sunshine routes starting when the carrier arrives at Birmingham for the first time in March 16, and shows confidence by the airline in the Midlands.”
