Inverness to Bergen air service takes to the skies
The first direct airlink between Inverness and Bergen commenced on Thursday 10th May, as part of Loganairs largest ever schedule between the UK and Norways second largest city.

Operating all year round and three times per week, a journey time of one hour and 25 minutes connect the two destinations with services on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. Passengers depart Inverness at 10.35am on the weekday services and at 1.55pm on Sundays.
Asides from offering a new option for holidaymakers setting off from Inverness, the region is also expecting an influx of Norwegian visitors, eager to explore Scotland’s Highlands and Islands.
Bergen is a coastal city, steeped in history and surrounded by seven iconic mountains - a bucket-list destination for fans of cultural activities, top-class food and stunning landscapes. A vibrant city with plenty going on, its famous colourful wooden wharf boasts UNESCO World Heritage Status while fans of the outdoors can make a short trip to enjoy picturesque mountain walks amongst Norway’s towering fjords. Film fans will be interested to hear it is the setting which inspired the makers of Disney’s hit animation, Frozen, recreating many of its most prominent features.
The route is also aimed at business passengers, connecting the two regions and their business communities.

“Bergen is the ideal place for a holiday with so much on offer for visitors and we’re confident this will be a busy route for customers in Inverness. Early bookings have been encouraging, as people rush to get a holiday planned before peak season.
“Equally, we’re excited about opening up Inverness to tourists from Norway, using it as a base to explore the Highlands while also making both markets accessible for regional trade. There was demand from the business community in Inverness for a link to be established so we’ve worked to make this happen.
“Launching our largest ever schedule to Bergen during the summer of 2018, our commitment to the city remains strong.”
