Helitech International focused on oil & gas industry issues

The result is a modest growth in fleet sizes over the coming years that is forcing the rotorcraft community to look for new sources of revenue in different verticals, while seeking out opportunities to improve operational efficiencies. The emergency medical services, corporate executive and air taxi sectors are widely expected to provide some welcome relief but there are tough challenges ahead – particularly in the established markets of North America and Europe.

Acknowledging this, a large number of businesses from across the globe have already confirmed their attendance at the 2016 edition of Helitech International – being held this year in Amsterdam from 11-13 October – in an effort to increase revenues in key territories in EMEA, including Airbus Helicopters, Marenco Swisshelicopter, Bell Helicopters, Finmeccanica Helicopters, Curtiss-Wright, Kamatics Corporation RWG, Flir Systems, Genesys Aerosystems, LORD Corporation, LCI Helicopters (Ireland) Ltd, Turner Aviation, Avion Power and Rockwell Collins.

In addition to the issues posed by the oil and gas industry, the Clean Sky 2 programme could see a new generation of rotorcraft come to the fore in the future. Innovative new designs and technologies may spark a rise in the retirements of older, less efficient and more costly equipment. It is seen a vital that the rotorcraft community, particularly the OEMs and operators, come together and discuss the future of the industry so that all parties benefit.

Providing a forum for the international rotorcraft community, Helitech International attracted more than 4,200 visitors from 66 countries in 2015. At this year’s event 200-plus businesses will present innovations that benefit stakeholders throughout the supply chain, while the leading Conference Programme will focus on some of the industry’s most pertinent issues.

John Hyde, Exhibition Director of Helitech International, commented: “Helitech International is all about bringing the rotorcraft community together, allowing businesses to make new connections and network with likeminded individuals. We pride ourselves on attracting leading OEMs, operators and suppliers providing visitors with an invaluable networking opportunity.”
