GKN Aerospace named smartest industrial company in Norway
GKN Aerospace - Kongsberg has been awarded the smartest industrial company 2016 in Norway.

The prize was handed out by the Norwegian Finance Minister, Siv Jensen. Sixty companies entered the competition, which is arranged by Siemens and Norsk Industri, the Norwegian industry association. The three finalists all excelled in digitalising and automated production.
Odd Tore Kurverud, CEO GKN Aerospace Norway, said: “We are competing in an international market. This award confirms that all the hard work and effort we have put in over many years has been worthwhile.”
Anne Marit Panengstuen, CEO of Siemens Norway, said: “GKN Aerospace is doing very well in the international market and has shown that digitalisation and automation can create stable employment in industry in Norway; a prerequisite for future competitiveness.”
GKN Aerospace in Norway manufactures complex components for jet engines and gas turbines for the world’s largest aircraft manufacturers and is a centre of excellence for advanced mechanical production.
