As today’s board complexity increases with more components and joints, higher density and shrinking package technologies, X-ray inspection is integral to identify manufacturing errors. Understanding the significance of this process, Altus continues to add to its equipment offering with the most advanced inspection systems like X-Spection 6000 which has led to new business.
X-Spection 6000 is Scienscope’s most technologically advanced X-Ray Inspection system. It includes every advanced software tool required for a wide variety of applications. Its impressive features caught the attention of Garner Osborne, a leading specialist in PCB design, manufacture and assembly. Using the most advanced technology in their state-of-the-art factory in Berkshire, the company has recently invested in the system from Altus.
Steve Honeybun, Director at Garner Osborne explained: “Our team are always striving to offer customers the very best production capabilities on the market and part of that is delivering the highest quality products we can. With this investment we take another step in enhancing our offering to our customers with a great piece of equipment that adds quantifiable analysis to our X-ray process. We are looking forward to getting it onsite and pleased that it will be supported by the Altus team moving forward.”
Joe Booth Altus CEO added: “It’s been really enjoyable working with Steve and his team to evaluate a new X-ray in their approach to process improvement projects. This is exactly how we like to work.
“We couldn’t be happier that Altus and Scienscope have been selected and it is reflective of Garner Osborne’s status and future ambitions, that they have invested in the flagship X-Spection 6000 unit. This investment will add some significant value to their existing and prospective customers in driving up quality. We are pleased to be adding to our partnership so far.”
