Weight and space management continue to be key trends for the travel industry with many airlines continuing to look for new ways to achieve a more efficient use of cabin space, while improving delivery and the onboard travel experience for passengers.

The exhibition will highlight the latest challenges and trends impacting meal delivery onboard, as well as providing a place for airline and rail professionals to discover newly launched foodservice equipment ideal for travel companies.

For example, WTCE exhibitor SkyTender will showcase the first and only patented and certified stand-alone non-alcoholic beverage system built into a full-size Atlas trolley, serving hot, cold and carbonated drinks. The stand-alone aviation beverage solution can be easily integrated into existing Point of Sale (POS) technology and uses Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) technology to provide travel operators complete data transparency for a full view of consumption data, enabling forecasting and ensuring optimal usage of resources along the entire supply chain.

As consumers demand continues for snack and grab-and-go food options, food service equipment suppliers are developing an ever-wider choice of equipment to keep food hot and ready to serve with an emphasis on ensuring food retains its freshness and flavour.

Also exhibiting at WTCE 2016, thermoproof and cold chain specialist, ISOVATION will showcase its innovative isothermal solutions that guarantee a constant controlled temperature (negative or positive cold) for temperature-sensitive products during all stages of transport, irrespective of the external conditions.

With food safety and security still high on the agenda, exhibitors Cambridge Security Seals, a global quality leader in tamper-resistant and loss prevention seals, and ITW Envopak, manufacturer of tamper-evident security seal solutions will showcase security sealing solutions that enhance in-flight catering & duty free processes.

As part of Passenger Experience Week 2016, WTCE is co-located with Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX), the world's largest event dedicated to sourcing the latest innovations, technologies and products for the cabin interiors, inflight entertainment and passenger comfort industries. Visitors to WTCE can gain free access to AIX where a number of exhibitors will be showcasing further food service equipment relevant to onboard operators.

Kicking off the week, the highly regarded Passenger Experience Conference (PEC) will run on Monday 4th April, the day before the exhibitions open, and will feature a dedicated session on onboard hospitality. After an information-packed day at the conference, delegates can join exhibitors and visitors at the Industry Networking Party where an evening of entertainment and cocktails will allow them to network in a relaxed environment.
