Global testing company Exova has signed a new 10-year framework agreement with Frisa, a manufacturer of rolled rings supplying aerospace and other markets.

The £28m contract, which extends a long-standing relationship between the two companies, will see Exova conduct a range of aerospace testing services, including mechanical, metallurgical, chemical analysis and non-destructive testing (NDT).

In order to deliver the full scope of Frisa’s requirements, Exova will invest circa £1.6m over the initial few years of the agreement, ensuring both competence and capacity matches Frisa’s ambitious growth plans.

Paul Barry, group managing director, Industries, at Exova, said: “We are delighted to sign this long term agreement to provide technically demanding services to one of our key clients, while providing local support and expertise all under one roof. Our relationship with Frisa, built over many years working with them in Mexico, brings real knowledge and understanding of their specific needs along with the accreditations and approvals required to service their testing needs.

“This contract further complements our position as the global leader in aerospace materials testing and we look forward to supporting Frisa during this next phase of their expansion.”

Eduardo Garza TJ, chief executive officer at Frisa, said: “We are extremely pleased to extend our relationship with Exova.  They have provided excellent support to us over the last decade and we trust them to do the same over the next ten years.  Having a testing partner who always delivers on time adds real value to our business.”
