With 46 nations represented this year, the focus on advancing electronic warfare and the importance of cooperation during reshaping and re-equipping of national forces was evident during the opening plenary session, which featured keynote addresses from Air Commodore John Philliban of the Royal Air Force, presenting a home nation perspective.

A highlight of this year’s conference programme was the presentation by Major General Borys Kremenetskyi, the Ukrainian Defence Attaché to the United Kingdom, who gave an outstanding and insightful presentation that captivated the at-capacity auditorium at Olympia London’s Conference Centre.

“EW Europe provided me with great insight to the advancements in technologies and methods in this area. It was an excellent opportunity to meet with and build a strong network with professional people working in a similar field” said Paul Hammond of the UK MoD.

AOC EW Europe 2017 welcomed 1,136 unique attendees (an increase of 79% from 2016) from 46 countries and including 26 senior VIP delegations, further proving the growing global interest in this area. Graham Davenport, Director of Marketing and Business Development for Rockwell Collins, stated that AOC EW Europe 2017 was “one of the absolutely best specialist defence conferences available.”

Tracy Bebbington, the Event Director of AOC EW Europe 2017 said: “The overwhelming response to this year’s exhibition and conference was amazing, with the show floor being completely sold out and the level of engagement at an all-time high, there was an elevated level of excitement and buzz around the event. With 95% of exhibitors and 98% of visitors looking to come back next year, this show’s importance within the EW community is very clear and plans are already in place for our 2018 event in Switzerland.”
