Essex event to explore UK space opportunities for SMEs

UKspace, Teledyne e2v, Innovate UK and Sprint are jointly hosting a free to attend SME Forum event – Working together to grow the UK space market – being held at the Teledyne e2v facility in Chelmsford, Essex, on Tuesday 14th May 2019, aimed at helping SMEs benefit from opportunities within the UK space market.

This special SME Forum event will be focused on how industry can work collaboratively to help grow the UK space market.

The UK Space sector was valued at £14.8 billion in 2018 and this is expected to rise to £40 billion by 2030, creating some 30,000 skilled jobs and increasing the number of opportunities available for SMEs.

This event is aimed at creating dialogue and engaging SMEs both in Essex and from across the UK to explore how we can work together in order to generate maximum value from this opportunity.

The day will include:


Meet the Buyer – 1:1 sessions for delegates to meet the procurement team, providing opportunities for SMEs and potential suppliers to talk about how to become part of the supply chain.

Technology/Education – meet people who are world leaders in their technology areas.

Business Development – discussing potential Teledyne e2v and SME opportunities.

Collaboration with local SME Community – kick-off discussion about creating an SME Hub to benefit from using the test facilities, resources and product assurance.
