The prestigious awards ceremony, organised by the Centre for Competitiveness (CforC), is judged on the internationally renowned EFQM Excellence model, recognising organisations that demonstrate excellence in their overall performance.

Supported by the Department of Finance and Personnel, Capita, and NIE Networks, the EFQM Ireland Excellence Awards accreditation falls into three categories, with IPC achieving Three Star ‘Recognised for Excellence’ acknowledgment.

CforC Chairman, Stephen Kingon, said: “This year’s award recipients represent a range of industries and sectors, but they all have a commitment to ensure excellence is an integral part of what they do, so I warmly congratulate them on their achievements.

“There are many advantages for organisations in taking part in the Ireland Excellence Awards process, and by passionately pursuing quality excellence they become leaner, more profitable, more sustainable and therefore more competitive.”

The EFQM Recognition provides businesses with a framework to increase competitiveness, productivity and efficiency and helps businesses understand how well current management practices are running.

Winners undergo rigorous examination and must illustrate their employees’ dedication, low absenteeism, high productivity, customer satisfaction and superior financial performance.

Joanne Liddle, managing director at IPC said: “This recognition is excellent news for IPC as it reaffirms our professional practice. In addition, the recognition for Excellence award has also helped us to discover learning and improvement opportunities – which is extremely helpful from a business development perspective.”

Operating from a 14,000 sq ft location in Carrickfergus, IPC Mouldings is an AS9100 accredited provider of technical solutions for global industries, using advanced engineering polymers and processing techniques. In November last year, IPC Mouldings was also awarded SC21 Bronze in B/E Aerospace Supply Chain Programme.
