Edinburgh Airport records busiest ever January
A total of 935,202 passengers passed through Edinburgh Airport last month, making it the busiest January on record.

The January 2020 numbers were +1.6% ahead of the same month last year with growth coming from international routes.
Gordon Dewar, Chief Executive of Edinburgh Airport said: “The strong growth in our international market has managed to offset the domestic market as we still experience an impact from the removal of the Stansted route. It also shows that continued desire to see the world and visit Edinburgh.
“It is promising to see that growth continue as we know that we are facilitate many things both in Scotland and across the world, be that tourism, business, education, research and culture.
"We need to directly connect Scotland to the world so we can continue to be that bridge, and do so in a manner which is sustainable and for the benefit of everyone.”
