Crash Detectives make BAFTA Cymru debut
Last month, Gwent Police's Crash Detectives, along with Chief Constable Pam Kelly, attended the Welsh BAFTAs in Cardiff City Centre.

Nominated for Best Factual Series, Crash Detectives has given audiences a rare insight inside how Gwent Police's dedicated forensic collision investigators deal with serious incidents on the roads.
Although its officers did not scoop the BAFTA prize, ‘Velindre: Hospital of Hope’ was a very worthy winner.
BAFTA Cymru Awards honour excellence in broadcasting and production within film, games and television in Wales and inspire the next generation of creative talent.
Chief Constable Pam Kelly said: “What an amazing achievement to be nominated amongst all of this talent we have here in Wales. It was a privilege to join our officers yesterday evening – I’m so proud of the work and professionalism that they have displayed in the series.
“The programmes have provided a unique insight into the role of Gwent Police’s forensic collision investigators, as they uncover the truth and evidence surrounding some of the most serious incidents on our roads. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the team and everyone who has helped in the making of season one.
“A special thank you to Jenny Casterton from the BBC for bringing the work of our officers to the screen - capturing the realities and technical professionalism day in day out - we’re now looking forward to season two airing in early 2020.”
The ceremony was hosted by BBC Radio 1 presenter, Huw Stephens, at St David’s Hall and 26 awards were presented during the evening in front of an audience of 900 guests.
Presenters included Ruth Jones (Gavin and Stacey, Stella), Joanna Scanlan (No Offence, Requiem, The Accident), Craig Roberts (Horrible Histories: Rotten Romans, Just Jim, Submarine) and Edward Bluemel (Killing Eve, A Discovery of Witches).
Other guests attending included Cath Ayers (Keeping Faith, Byw Celwydd), Gwyneth Keyworth (Hidden, Bang, Black Mirror), Nia Roberts (Pili Pala, Bang, 35 Diwrnod), Suzanne Packer (Stella, Casualty, Keeping Faith) and Jacob Ifan (Bang, Discovery of Witches).
Trystan Gravelle (Baptiste, Mr Selfridge), Rakie Ayola (Shetland, No Offence), comedian Tudur Owen, Morfydd Clark (Dracula, His Dark Materials, Patrick Melrose) joined Gwilym Lee (Bohemian Rhapsody, Jamestown) to present awards.
Guests were treated to a live performance from North Walian singer/songwriter Casi Wyn and Jo Hartley (This is England, Eddie the Eagle, In My Skin), members of the cast of Doctor Who, actor/first time director Tom Cullen (Downton Abbey, Knightfall) and comedian Elis James attended to support nominations.
